I’m Mushfiqur Rahman Saad an engineer, designer and activist passionate about centering Artificial Intelligence in community action.
With a background in computer vision, engineering, and human-centered design, I adopt a frugal innovation approach to drive community action.
Currently, I am exploring ways to advance computer vision-enabled environmental and community projects using open-source platforms and networks.
Currently, I am a researcher and postgraduate student at the Wireless Research@UKM lab at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where I am working on developing the world’s largest AI-enabled plastic waste dataset through citizen science collaboration. I am also the co-founder and design lead for human centered design at Wizkit, working on education design and frugal design applications.
Formerly, I founded and led multiple community action organizations focused on designing projects centered around environmental innovation, crowdsourced science, and art.
